E-learning not for Young Learners
A recent article at AACRAO Transcript mentions the issue of online learning. Jessica Montgomery says…
While e-learning may not be well-suited for young learners who have not developed the discipline to study independently, online programs have drawn most of their student body from the adult age group.
Interesting that most on-line education is done by adult learners. My guess is that it would be people who are looking to better their lives with a new career path. Or those who are looking to expand their intellectual horizons but are unable to attend a traditional institution.
